Retha McPherson shares her story in PE
KNOWN by many as one of South Africa‘s most beautiful and charismatic individuals, former Mrs. South Africa Retha McPherson was devastated in 2004 when she, her husband and two sons were involved in a motor accident which left her eldest son Aldo with severe brain injuries.
While he was in a coma, he had a supernatural experience where he went to heaven, saw God, the angels, Moses and Abraham. Aldo came back with one message: “Jesus is alive!” Due to the seriousness of his head injuries Aldo was unable to speak for a long time and related his miraculous journey by writing letters lead by the Holy Spirit – which he is still doing today.
After this series of events their lives were changed forever. Retha and Aldo co-authored a book titled “A Message from God” which relates their miracle story in detail. Retha has since retired from her mainstream job and is now busy with full-time ministry.
Retha will be in Port Elizabeth at the Word of Faith Christian Centre on Friday and Saturday, July 16 – 17 to share her story of learning to understand, and come to terms with life‘s journey and God‘s directing hand in our life paths.
The two-day sharing and ministering event will include four sessions with a session on Friday evening and three on Saturday.
Tickets to the two-day event cost R200 and include a light lunch and dinner on Saturday.

Aldo was on life support for a long time after the accident, and during that time Retha was lifted into a new level of walking by faith and not by sight. Although Aldo sustained severe brain injuries as a result of the accident, Retha testifies: “God is good! He has awakened my Sprit to Him and I have come to know Him as a holy God who wants my life, not only my heart.”
After a few weeks in a coma, Aldo finally woke up.She travels around the country and the world spreading this simple truth “Jesus is alive!”.
